Asking for builds isn't really a great idea...

Look in the 727223427408 topics in the Ranger forum or check the Ranger Builds sticky.

The popular and successful bowranger builds combine from:

Offense: Burning Arrow, Poison (various options), Sloth Hunter's Shot, Crippling Shot
Interrupt: Distracting Shot, Savage Shot, Magebane Shot, Punishing Shot
Self-defense: Natural Stride, Whirling Defense, Escape ...etc ...
Self-heal: Troll Unguent, Restful Breeze
Condition Removal: Mending Touch, Antidote signet

A popular base is:
Distracting Shot, Savage Shot, Apply Poison, Natural Stride, Mending Touch, Troll Unguent. One of three elites see frequent application in this base: Burning Arrow, Crippling Shot or Magebane Shot. The eight slot is for a rez or an optional bowskill, depending on the environment.

Don't forget [skill=text]Broad Head Arrow[/skill]. Good in PvE vs Stationary casters. Ok in some lower end PvP against stupid monks/eles who like to tank.

There are a few good Ranger builds out there:

Remember to arm a 20% reduced blind for your last rune, for times when you can't get your Mend Touch off (D-shotted, or Diversioned).

Burning Arrow/Crippling Shot Ranger:
Ranger/Monk

14 Expertise
10 Wilderness Survival
10 Marksmanship
3 Protective Prayers

Burning Arrow/Crippling Shot
Savage Shot
Distracting Shot
Apply Poison
Natural Stride
Mending Touch
Troll Unguent
Resurrection Signet

The next build has just seen a bit of a nerf and most find carrying a Burning Arrow/Crippling Shot Ranger to be more beneficial...

Magebane Shot Ranger
Ranger/Monk

14 Expertise
10 Wilderness
10 Marksmanship
3 Protection Prayers

Debilitating Shot/Screaming Shot
Magebane Shot
Distracting Shot
Apply Poison
Natural Stride
Mending Touch
Troll Unguent
Resurrection Signet

If you are running Debilitating Shot, make sure you take one point off of Expertise and put it into Marksmanship. This will achieve -8 energy instead of -7.

Now the lesser used Ranger build (due to a Monk spell called Draw Conditions):

Preparation Shot Ranger
Ranger/Monk

13 Expertise
10 Wilderness
11 Marksmanship
4 Protection Prayers

Prepared Shot
Concussion Shot
Distracting Shot
Apply Poison
Natural Stride
Mending Touch
Troll Unguent
Resurrection Signet

Recurve bows are best to use for general interrupting. Longbows are good to use at the beginning of fights to interrupt slow casting Dervish forms, Spirits, Preparations, and Enchantments/Chants. Vampiric Flatbows are best used when attacking NPC's. Vampiric Shortbows are good to use when attacking melee NPC's, or crippling close targets.

Apply Poison
BHA
Screaming Shot (use shortbow)
Signet of Infection
Epidemic
Throw Dirt
Troll Ungent
SS Res Sig

Works wonders on groups that clump, like Charr in their homelands. You can inflict massive degen quickly. Swap out Signet of Infection for something else in Elona, or the big city in Cantha, or areas with mostly human enemies.

Throw Dirt is your primary defense. With the amount of degen you are inflicting, provided you have a decent team the enemy should be dead before blind wears off. Use epidemic to spread that around along with the rest of the conditions.

If you don't need the res sig, swap it out for Ebon Vanguard Assassin. Cast that first with your team flagged back and the enemies will swarm it because you will be out of agro. Then fire all of your shots and epedemic while they are bunched on the assassin.

Works great. Got me through all of the cantha missions in HM. Energy management is good, and signet of infection has roughly the same recharge as screaming shot, so use them together because you need the bleeding down for the signet to work.

I use two shortbows, and a flatbow to pull. The shortbows are poisonous and silencing to extend condition duration. If you are good at swapping between weapons then you might take a barbed shortbow as well.... i don't bother though.

Max out marksmanship and make expertise pretty heavy.... everything else into wilderness survival.

If you don't want the BHA, or if you are putting this build on a hero, change BHA for Burning Arrow. Either way, Margrid seems to handle the build well. You'll have to replace signet of infection though. Distracting shot is a good sub on a hero.

You won't see the numbers popping up, as with splinter-barrage, but I've actually been able to farm ranger and paragon bosses with this build by using a wall to block their attacks. When you need to reapply conditions, use Vanguard Assassin to distract the boss, step out and fire your condition shots, then step back behind the wall.
